Shop Listings Chinatown
If you love Chinese music, this is a must stop. The latest releases are only $6 each and they’re original! Forget the trouble of illegal self downloading.
The latest addition is the renovated Chinatown Complex, next to Pearl Centre and also where you can find OG. 1st floor is dotted with little fashion shops like those you find in Far East. 2nd floor sees a heavier concentration of raw materials for a tailor. You can find cloths and accessories like ribbons and eye hooks. Its a pretty handsome collection. I get my materials there too. One good stop is Ocean where cheaper than town toiletries and salon shampoos e.g. Sebastian, Loreal Expert, Reds, Tiger can be found. I always get my hair stuff here and spend about $150-200. The last time i check, its been more than a year since my last Keratase purchase.
Chinatown is also the stop for fengshui items. Ive gotten mine at a few shops there. However, please shop with a discerning eye. Many items are old and fengshui items are not supposed to be old. Bargain too especially with the Chinese dealers. Ive also came across a few antique shops. Being no expert, i cant advise but if you are, just comb around the precinct and you’ll get some interesting finds.

Shop Listings Haji Lane
This must be the newest fashion lane in Singapore. The stores are edgy and collections are usually imported with limited pieces. Its great if you want to stand out unique. Theres also a bargain store filled with tons of secondhand Japanese finds like kimono going for only $10? Just dont expect Prada quality though.

Shop Listings Bugis Street
Bugis street is one of the crowded and must see places. Refurbish with a new look a few years back, there are more colorful small stores and also a new life was injected to the 2nd storey of the shophouses. It does take time to comb through the place but if you like treasure hunting, I think its a neat visit. I believe most items come from Bangkok and Hong Kong. Coz fashion ive seen in these places arrive here after a month or so. They’re relatively cheaper than FEP.

Shop Listings Far East Plaza
FEP remains one of the places to get hippy fashion. Imports usually come from Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Bangkok and new items arrive 2-3 weeks for most stores . Its a piece of cake to find easy-for-the-pocket stuff. Thats why so many teenagers are spotted there. There are also a few green local designers. The prices are around $30-50 now for a decent top. With so many little shops, its easy to spend a day just hopping around without the boyfriend and to really find something special.
Personal Fav:
Lips Enterprise #03-08/09
Tons of accessories. They also have ethnic and beach apparel.
Ztamp #03-47
Apparel
More to come

Shop Listings Orchard
Its always bustling with life and notoriously-crowded on weekends. The main buildings to visit are Takashimaya, Paragon, Wisma Atria, Tangs, Robinson, Heeren and FEP. Taka and Paragon has the most concentrated number of designer units.

Shop Listings DFS
I like to come to this place for a one-stop designer shopping experience. Everything is here! However, the collection may not be as new as the boutiques.

Beach Road (Raffles MRT, Behind Boat Quay)
I discovered this when i was working at Raffles then. This place is pretty close to my building. There are many things to look at, do take your time. You may need to buy more items at certain shops cause they’re wholesale. You can also source for stones, beads, threads etc to customize your own necklace (note Bangkok is still the cheapest and i suspect they import from BKK). Swarovski crystals (beads, fashion glue-on etc) are the cheapest here. They also stock the packaging you need if you’re selling your designs later.
